Ron Popp
Based in Chicago, Ron has been seen doing stand up at The Laugh Factory, The Elbo Room, Comedysportz Indianapolis and Chemically Imbalanced Theatre, among others. He has been featured in Steph's Darling Parlour as well as Holding On: A Benefit for the Brown Paper Box Theatre Company. A writer and performer, Ron produced his first one man show It Gets Bitter: An Evening with Ron Popp to sold out crowds at Davenport's Cabaret and the IndyFringe Festival. He also premiered his newest stand up show Joyous Faggotry, and the IndyFringe festival in 2021.
As an actor, Ron has been seen as Eric in the Chicago premiere of WTC View, Nathan Leopold in Never the Sinner: The Leopold and Loeb Story, Virgin Mary/James in the midwestern premiere of Terrence McNally's Corpus Christi, Harvey in Breaking up is Hard to Do, Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Guildenstern in Hamlet, Bud Frump in H2$, Swift in All in the Timing, Junior in Dearly Departed and various roles in ARFTCO's Christmas Spectacular.
, Ron obtained his BA in Theatre with a focus on playwrighting from the University of Indianapolis and is the recipient of a Certificate of Merit in playwriting from the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival for his full length play Coming Home.
